Now, let's go to school
for the basic physiology of the maintenance, repair, and
growth of the bodies' tissues.
The human
body is an amazing, bio-electric,
organic, living creation with the ability to adapt itself to
all the stimulus that we subject ourselves to. The adaptive
processes of the body are mediated and controlled by hormones.
The word hormone comes from the Greek word hormao, which means,
"I arouse to activity."
Hormones are biochemical messengers which allow all the systems,
tissues, and cells of our bodies to communicate and follow through
with their proper functions. The study of hormones is called
endocrinology. The endocrine system is amazingly complex, so
I will focus on the primary hormones which are pertinent
for developing a larger penis.
There are
four hormones which I will briefly discuss. These are insulin,
glucagon, somatotropin (growth hormone), and testosterone.
Working together in balanced and optimum levels, this group
of hormones allows our body tissues, including the penis, to
maintain, repair, and regrow. They are as follows:
INSULIN
The primary
responsibility of insulin is to lower our blood-sugar levels
after eating. The food we ingest is broken down in the digestive
system and absorbed into the bloodstream. Upon entering the
bloodstream, the nutrients from our digested meal cause the
pancreas to release insulin. Insulin then acts to shuttle these
nutrients into our cellular tissue to maintain, repair, and
grow our bodies' tissues, which, again, includes the penis.
GLUCAGON
The function
of glucagon is opposite to that of insulin. Glucagon raises
our blood-sugar levels when our bodies have gone too long without
food, specifically protein. The balance between these two hormones
is called the insulin/glucagon axis.
The significance
of this axis is of the utmost importance in keeping our bodies
fueled with a steady and balanced supply of the nutrients required
to maintain and repair ourselves. To keep this axis in check,
we must look at our eating habits. We should consume meals that
are balanced with adequate amounts of protein, carbohydrates,
and fats. As well, we should eat on a regular basis, avoid skipping
meals, or overfeed ourselves. This will allow us to benefit
greatly towards our goals of penis enlargement by ensuring a
steady, even supply of the nutrients that the body requires.
TESTOSTERONE
Testosterone
is a cholesterol-based hormone which is manufactured in the
testes. Production of approximately 5 mg per day is controlled
by the hypothalamus and pituitary glands. Testosterone initiates
penis growth and the development of male secondary sexual characteristics
during puberty. Testosterone has both anabolic (growth-enhancing),
and androgenic (masculinizing) qualities. Maintaining our
testosterone levels at their optimum is necessary for developing
a strong sex drive and keeping
our sexual organs in good health. Optimum testosterone levels
also allow us to build and maintain muscle tissue to keep our
bodies strong.
SOMATOTROPIN
Commonly
known as growth hormone, somatotropin is released by the pituitary
gland. As the name implies, growth hormone aids in the maintenance
and growth of all body tissues and structures. Growth hormone
has a short life span once it is in our bloodstream (approx.
5 minutes). Our liver quickly alters growth hormone into its
analog, IGF-1 (insulin growth factor 1), which is responsible
for growing and maintaining our tissues.
So, how
can we naturally raise the levels of these two important, tissue-building
hormones? Diet and exercise are the most effective ways to achieve
this hormonal increase.
DIET
Quality
protein is very important. Lean meats, fish, poultry, and eggs
all provide high amounts of protein. We should also consume
non-processed carbohydrates to keep our blood sugar balanced.
By non-processed, I mean fruits and vegetables as close to their
natural state as possible.
Of special importance, in our diets, are fats. Fat is
essential, but there are good fats and bad fats. Some fats raise
testosterone and some will lower testosterone. Saturated and
monounsaturated fats will help raise testosterone, while partially
hydrogenated fats and polyunsaturated fats may lower it. EFA's,
or essential fatty acids are also very important in achieving
a healthy, optimum hormonal profile, which will help us to reach
our goals of a larger penis.
EXERCISE
Exercise
is the great stimulator of testosterone and growth hormone.
The human body is designed to adapt to the stress of hard physical
labor and exercise by increasing the production of these two
hormones. Notice the difference between a pro-golfer and a professional
strongman or weightlifter. Both the golfer and the weightlifter
get plenty of exercise, but the evidence of the type of exercise
on the athletes respective hormonal profiles is dramatic.
Heavy weightlifting
causes a profound increase in the levels of testosterone and
growth hormone. Some specific lifts cause a much greater
increase than others. Squats, dead lifts, chin-ups, overhead
presses, and dips are among the best hormone-boosting exercises
there are. This does not mean that you must become a weightlifter.
Just make sure that you get some regular exercise and maintain
an active, healthy lifestyle. This will help keep your hormone
levels up. But if you really want to see and feel the effects
of testosterone and growth hormone, hit the weights.
WATER
I forgot
to mention this in the diet section of this article, but let
me go ahead now. Keeping your body well-hydrated cannot be overstated.
Water is crucial for every function
of the body. It is necessary for the digestion process
and for the transportation of nutrients. Water eliminates the
wastes and toxins present in our bodies. Water also increases
our blood volume and volumizes our cells, both
of which are important to gain penis size. Make sure
you drink at least 10-12 glasses of pure water daily.

that I have provided in this article is not intended as a nutritional
guide or exercise manual. If you have found any of these ideas
interesting or inspiring, please take time to resource the abundant
literature available by many qualified authors. Or consult a
physician or qualified nutritionist.
